At Afrisaff (Pty) Ltd, we specialize in saffron bulb supply to both home growers and commercial farmers. Our mission is to promote sustainable saffron cultivation in South Africa and to ensure a reliable supply of quality saffron bulbs for local and the international markets.

 

Our vision is to become the leading supplier of saffron in the region, while ensuring the responsible growth of the industry and the long-term viability of saffron cultivation in South Africa. We strive to provide the necessary support and resources to farmers and producers to enable them to maximize their yields and profits. We also work to educate the public on the health benefits of saffron and the importance of buying from ethically-sourced, sustainable saffron producers.

Our Background

Founded in 2021, by father and son our family-run agriculture business is focused on saffron cultivation in South Africa, and we are one of the leading bulb suppliers in the country. Our experienced team are dedicated to providing the highest quality products and services, ensuring that our customers receive only the best. We have a long-standing commitment to sustainability, and strive to ensure that our farming practices are as environmentally friendly as possible. We are passionate about sharing the goodness of nature with our customers, and believe that our products should be accessible to everyone.

Since 2021 Afrisaff has distributed more than 10 metric tonnes of saffron Crocus sativus bulbs throughout Southern Africa and assisted the avid home grower, small-scale, and commercial farmers with their saffron cultivation journey.
